When you hear the words “brand” or “marketing,” chances are the first thing that pops into your head is a logo or maybe specific colors like the bright red of a Coke can.
And that’s good!
That means a brand has implanted itself into your memory, and you might even have an emotion connected to that — even better!
But before we can get to all that fun, flashy, jazzy work for your own brand, we have to do some groundwork. It can seem a bit less tangible, but the payoffs will be bigger.
Laying the foundation for a strong brand starts with questions like:
- Why are we starting this?
- What is our drive or purpose?
- Who do we want to serve?
- What are our core product offerings?
- What do we solve for our customers better than anyone else?
To set you up for success, we have designed this Back-to-Basics Brand Workshop, where you’ll get a crash course in brand building. What we share in our workshop is a snippet into the work we do with our one-on-one clients, PLUS you get to learn and share with your new workshop pals.

In this section of the workshop, we’ll uncover what makes your brand tick. Why do you exist? What do you have to offer that your competitors can’t? What are your big picture goals?
Hone in on your audience
This section of the workshop is all about getting crystal clear on who your ideal customer is and their desires and fears, so you can help them in the best ways possible.
Build your brand story
Facts tell, stories sell. In this last section, we’re going to turn all the juice we’ve uncovered together in the workshop into stories that you can share with your audience.

I’m a content marketer turned brand strategist and web designer with over 15 years of experience.
My biggest passion? Empowering female entrepreneurs to build brands that make the world a better place — women who’ve started companies and organizations for a deeper purpose.

I’m a brand and creativity consultant who has worked across 10+ industries from fashion, food, tech, finance, retail and medical.
Starting my career off in a large tech corporate, I had one mission: To make tech more human.
Over time, I’ve adapted that mission slightly: To make brands more human.
I now have the pleasure of partnering with pioneering brands to develop brand strategies and place creativity and community at the core of our work.
As a multi-passionate entrepreneur, I wear many hats. Alongside building Her, I am also pursuing my passion project aimed at helping fellow female founders.
